Live On Stage: Jitensha

David and Erin Rose (Rosey for short) met in the summer of 2012, at an open mic at Benny’s Bagels on Broadway in Vancouver. They played in the 5 piece indie rock band The Cattails for about a year before deciding to go out on their own and formed Jitensha. Their first album “Buck Moon” was released April 29th 2014. They have been active in several music communities from Montréal, Canada to Brisbane, Australia; taking time to tour around by sailing the South Pacific and driving all around the US, Canada, and Australia.

Jitensha combines indie rock, soft alternative, and an island sunset vibes all in one. A perfect show for those looking for some uplifting, soulful music for a relaxing Tuesday night

In 2026 you can catch them on tour across Canada from May – September showcasing their latest EP “Catching Waves,” which was recorded with Top Secret Productions in Otter Rock.
